Variable Speed

Variable Speed

A belt drive pulley used to change the RPM’s of a given drive, variable speeds use a variable speed belt that has a “V” cross section. The sides of the “V” conform to the angle of the faces of the pulley flanges. As the flanges open or close, the belt rides up or down, in turn either increasing or decreasing the RPM’s. These products are used in a two-pulley system where a fixed pulley is on the motor or “driver,” and the variable speed is on the “driven” shaft.
